We're Quackin' Up!
On Friday, July 17th, 2009, J-Walkers for the Cure held its first annual Quack for the Cure at Washington Lake. While the weather was not the best, the rain gods held out and allowed us to put 3,600 colorful ducks into the lake. Powered by the mighty hoses of the Fire Department pumper, our ducks swam a great and mighty race with cheering onlookers hoping that their duck would be the lucky winner. We'd like to thank Tom Connors of Washington Lake, the Washington Township Fire Department for all of their help and volunteers, YOU, the public, for your generosity, and all the team members who helped to make this the first of many duck races to come.
