Golf for the Cure 2008
Our 2008 2nd J-Walkers Golf for the Cure was a huge success this past May. Guest hosts Harold Carmichael and Mike Quick, both of Eagles fame, graced our event with their presence. The day was magical with 84 golfers and j-walkers galore! At dinner, we held our raffle and Harold auctioned off an autographed jersey and personal tour of Lincoln Financial Field. Thanks to the support of our golfers and sponsors, our team walked away with over $27,000 to help bring our walkers the money needed to participate in the 2008 Breast Cancer 3-DAY. Thanks to all that helped and we look forward to seeing you next year!

Back to Back Walk Sea Isle City Sept '08
In September of 2008, the J-Walkers prepared for the upcoming 3-DAY event by venturing to the Jersey shore for a wonderful weekend. The idea of the "back to back" is to walk two full days back to back, walking approximately 18 miles the first day and 15 the second. We actually walked 20 the first day and about 15 or 16 the second day. The weekend was gorgeous, starting out early Saturday morning in Sea Isle City, venturing north to Ocean City. There we were greeted by Lori's Mom, husband, sister, daughter and dog, Rosie! The J-Walkers were treated to a wonderful lunch and then headed back to Sea Isle.
Day Two sent the walkers south to the shores of Avalon and continuing on to Stone Harbor where they dined for lunch. After a well deserved rest, the troups headed back to Sea Isle to finish up the weekend and commiserate about the events of the weekend. |
